Elektron has announced its acquisition by Bonnier Capital. The company stated that operations, product development and support will continue without change.

Acquisition Details

Elektron confirmed that Bonnier Capital, a Swedish family owned media group, has completed the purchase. Elektron also stated that the business will continue to operate as an independent company.

In addition, the company will remain based in its Gothenburg headquarters. Its offices in Los Angeles and Berlin will also continue regular operations.

Strategic Direction

The investment is positioned as long term. Elektron noted that the company plans to use wider strategic resources from Bonnier Capital. The organisation also intends to maintain its current product identity.

Key leaders will reinvest in the business. These include owner Jonas Hillman and CEO Alexander Hellström. The full management team is also part of the reinvestment plan.

Commitment to Stability

Elektron stated that product development, customer support and existing commitments remain unchanged. The company also reported no plans to reduce staff. Both organisations expressed support for continued operations.
