Into The Woods will mark its 10 year anniversary with a return to Hackney Wick, the area where the project first began. Founded in 2015, the London based brand has developed from a small party series into an international events platform, artist agency, and record label.
The anniversary event reflects the brand’s early focus on community and location. It will take place on Sunday 28 June at Crate Brewery, close to the canal side spaces that hosted its first gatherings.
Event details and lineup
The first part of the anniversary series runs from 1PM to 9PM. The lineup includes artists closely connected to the brand’s history.
Confirmed artists:
– Rupert Ellis
– KRIF
– T.NA
– TODD
– Darush
– Who’s That? & Friends
Rupert Ellis was one of the label’s earliest digital releases and agency signings. In addition, Darush represents the local Hackney Wick community through his work with All My Friends record store.
Ticket access includes 50 free tickets released in advance, followed by a limited number of £10 early bird tickets. A nearby afterparty may also take place.
Brand development and global reach
Over the past decade, Into The Woods has hosted events across London and internationally. Venues include Fabric, FOLD, E1, Printworks, and Village Underground. The brand has also presented showcases in cities such as Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, Prague, and Leeds.
Artists who have appeared at its events include Petre Inspirescu, Praslea, Priku, Shonky, SIT, Traumer, Francesco Del Garda, Dan Andrei, and Voigtmann.
Founders reflect on 10 years
The project is led by founder Chris Hodgson, label manager Christian Henshaw, and Creative Director Nicholas Petrou.
Petrou said, “Into The Woods has always been a labour of love. We started out running parties in forests, warehouses, basements, bunkers and even under bridges across East London. The scene was completely different back then, and as minimal music exploded globally, so did Into The Woods. Ten years later, returning to Hackney Wick feels like coming home. This anniversary isn’t just about celebrating what we’ve achieved — it’s about celebrating the community, artists and friends who helped build Into The Woods from day one.”
He added, “As we launched in the underground scene, managing our crowd’s safety and people’s well being became an important part of growing our brand and the artists working with us, which was part of the decision to move from underground spaces and into the club scene.”
