JD-800 vst

The Roland JD-800 VST is now available through Roland Cloud

By News No Comments

Roland has released the JD-800 VST, which is a reproduction of the legendary hardware JD-800 synthesizer.

Many consider the original Roland JD-800 to be a classic digital synthesizer, combining the power of digital synthesis with the hands-on control of classic 1970s analog synthesizers. It included patches developed by Roland’s then-Chief Sound Designer Eric Persing, who was responsible for many of the most recognizable sounds of original Roland synthesizers before founding Spectrasonics.

The JD-800 Software Synthesizer retains the traditional sound of the original, including the original 64 presets, but builds on it with increased polyphony and other current improvements.

Features

  • There are 64 original settings as well as 64 new presets.
  • Reproduction of the JD-800’s two-stage multi-effects section, complete with drag-and-drop reordering of 7 effects: chorus, phaser, enhancer, distortion, spectrum, delay, and reverb.
  • The detailed, realistic interface may be resized and features various viewpoints.
  • Polyphony has been increased in comparison to the original hardware.
  • VST3, AAX, and AU with Apple silicon support
