The ultimate list of Minimal House and Rominimal Festivals around the world

By Intaresu's Pick No Comments

The pandemic hurt the world of electronic music and festivals in 2020. However, in 2021, several music festivals reopened their doors to the public, delighting us with their wonderful performances and reviving music in everyone’s hearts.

To thank all the festivals that have kept us alive in the world of minimal house and rominimal music, we have brought together the ultimate compilation of all the festivals that we have all known or visited. We hope that 2022 will be a year of great music and more events, and we will continue to advocate for the covid19 situation to improve so that we may fully enjoy them.

Sunwaves festival

SUNWAVES originated in 2007 as a counter-offer to the offerings of festivals, with no interest in pyrotechnics, crazy lights, smoke machines, or mainstream music. The festival’s goal was to foster a sense of community via electronic music and respect.

SUNWAVES is Romania’s first and largest biennial music event, lasting five days and five nights. It was the first event to establish a standard for sound quality. Because of SUNWAVES, Funktion One has become the ideal sound system for electronic music events throughout Romania.

The second Sunwaves festival experience in Zanzibar will take place on Dongwe Beach from January 27th to January 31st, 2022. You can purchase tickets here.

UNUM Festival

The concept of open-air music festivals has been around for centuries, and integrating music with natural elements is not a new concept. UNUM Festival brings us an experience of open-air events.

The lineup of performers due to perform at the festival is incredible, with performances taking place over three stages over five days and four nights. Aside from the musicians, the festival site will include a leisure center, seminars for visual artists from Albania and the area, acrobatics, yoga, a food court, and other amenities.

The UNUM festival will return on June 1st, 2022. Tickets may be purchased here.

Nostromo Festival

Nostromo broadcasts a technology stream in the depths of uncharted natural surroundings due to his innate attraction to a magnetic unknown.

When juxtaposed with the calm that prevails in the verdant surroundings, the essence of electronic music, a reflection of an intriguing yet frightening and uncertain future, embraces the entirety of its importance. Nostromo thus praises the unbreakable relationship between these two worlds: you and me, us, this wild human need to experience palpable moments of happiness suspended above time.

You can learn and see more about Nostromo Festival here.

Caprices Festival

In Crans-Montana, Switzerland, an electronic dance music event will take place over two weekends in a glasshouse 2,200 meters above the Swiss Alps. A one-of-a-kind event in a one-of-a-kind

Blies Festival

Projektgruppe Blies is a national autonomous creative collective made up of producers, DJs, artists, designers, photographers, architects, and scientists. We are interested in experience concepts that are intellectual, beautiful, and cross-disciplinary.

The festival functions as a bridge-builder between various types of electronic music by young and inventive artists, and it promotes cultural interaction and inspiration in the fields of music and art.

The event aims to become an annual intercultural gathering place for the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. We are not profit-driven in the festival’s preparation and implementation, but rather advocate low-barrier access to electronic music. We are particularly concerned about gender equality in the lineup. The lineup is split 50/50 between men and women.
