Animoog Z, a synthesizer for iOS and desktop platforms, has been launched by Moog.
Animoog Z operates on iOS devices or as a plug-in in desktop DAWs and is available as a free download from the App Store or as a complete edition for $9.99. The 16-voice architecture is based on Moog’s Three-Dimensional Anisotropic Synth Engine, which allows users to morph between X, Y, and Z axes on a 3D scale, combining principles from wavetable and vector synthesis.
Individual parameters and notes may be manipulated per note using the built-in, pressure-sensitive keyboard, allowing for polyphonic pitch-shifting and modulation. A ten-slot modulation matrix allows for complex sound production, including sound sources captured from old and current Moog synthesizers, as well as a variety of filter and effects algorithms.
